California residents under 16 years of age may have additional rights regarding the collection and sale of their personal information. It helps us to improve the Service and to deliver a better and more personalized service, including by enabling us to:

Flash Cookies. Certain features of the Service may use local stored objects (or Flash cookies) to collect and store information about your preferences and navigation to, from, and on the Service. Flash cookies are not managed by the same browser settings as are used for browser cookies. Web Beacons. Pages of the Service and our e-mails may contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs) that permit the Company, for example, to count users who have visited those pages or opened an email and for other related website statistics (for example, recording the popularity of certain website content and verifying system and server integrity).
Embedded Scripts. Certain programming code designed to collect information about your interactions with the Service is considered an embedded script. Such embedded scripts may be temporarily downloaded onto your computer from our web server, or from a third party that we work with, and is active only while you are connected to the Service, and deleted or deactivated thereafter.
Device Recognition Technologies. Particular technologies, such as application of statistical probability to data sets, as well as linking a common unique identifier to different device use (e.g., Facebook ID), which attempt to recognize or make assumptions about users and devices (e.g., that a user of multiple devices is the same user or household).
Location Identification Technologies. Global Positioning Systems software, geo-filtering and other location-aware technologies locate you (sometimes precisely), or make assumptions about your location, for purposes such as verifying your location and delivering or restricting content, including third party ads, based on your location. If you have enabled such software or use other location-based features on the Service, your device location may be tracked by us and third parties. Our store finder feature may access and use information about your device location (such as based on IP address or GPS, as applicable), or your account information, to suggest appropriate store locations. The Service’s content may be personalized based on various information we may have about you to try to provide you with more location-relevant content.
In-App Tracking. A variety of tracking technologies may be included in your mobile applications, and these are not browser-based like cookies and cannot be controlled by browser settings. Some use device identifier, or other identifiers such as “Ad IDs” to associate app user activity to a particular app and to track user activity across apps and/or devices.
SMS Messages. Certain text and media messages may be sent or received to facilitate communication between you and the Company.
Order Information. When you make a purchase on the Service or attempt to make a purchase through the Service, we collect certain information from you, including without limitation, your name, billing and shipping addresses, payment information (including credit card numbers), email address, phone number, and certain ordering preferences.
We do not purposefully collect personal information automatically, but we may tie this information to personal information about you that we collect from other sources or you provide to us.
We do not control these third parties’ tracking technologies or how they may be used. We may use the information we have collected from you to enable us to display advertisements to our advertisers’ target audiences. Even though we do not disclose your personal information for these purposes without your consent, if you click on or otherwise interact with an advertisement, the advertiser may assume that you meet its target criteria.
We may disclose aggregated information about our users, and information that does not identify any individual, without restriction.
To our subsidiaries, registered users, and affiliates.
To contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support our business.
To a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of our assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which personal information held by Joshua Tree Coffee Company, LP about the Service’s users is among the assets transferred.

To fulfill the purpose for which you provide it. For example, if you give us an email address to use a feature on the Service such as an “email a friend” feature, we will transmit the contents of that email and your email address to the recipients.

Promotional Offers from the Company. If you do not wish to have your email address or contact information used by the Company to promote our own or third parties’ products or services, you can opt-out by checking the relevant box located on the form on which we collect your data (i.e., the order form or registration form) or by opting out through another applicable method. You can also always opt-out by sending us an email with your request to firstname.lastname@example.org. If we have sent you a promotional email, you may send us a return email asking to be omitted from future email distributions. This opt out does not apply to information provided to the Company as a result of a product purchase, warranty registration, product service experience or other transactions.
Targeted Advertising. We may serve ads on third-party services that are targeted to reach users of those services that are also identified on one of more of our databases. As an example, we may use the ad services offered by Facebook or Twitter (and other third-party services). We are not responsible for the foregoing services, including without limitation their security of the data. If we utilize Facebook to serve ads on its services, you can typically hover over the box in the right corner of an applicable ad, or go to your account settings, and find out what options Facebook offers you to control such ads. If we use Twitter’s ads, you should be able to review your ad options in your account settings on Twitter. We are not responsible for such third parties’ failure to comply with your or our opt-out instructions, they may not give us notice of opt-outs to our ads that you give to them, and they may change their options without notice to us or you.
We do not control third parties’ collection or use of your information to serve interest-based advertising. However these third parties may provide you with ways to choose not to have your information collected or used in this way. You can opt out of receiving targeted ads from members of the Network Advertising Initiative (“NAI”) on the NAI's website.

We may provide certain web pages and other methods allowing you to modify, change, or otherwise update some or all of the personal information that you have provided to us. You may also send us an email at email@example.com to request access to, correct or delete any personal information that you have provided to us. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect. Otherwise, we will exercise commercially reasonable efforts to make the requested modifications, changes, or updates. Notwithstanding the foregoing, you acknowledge and agree that it is not always possible to completely remove or delete your previously provided information, including but not limited to User Contributions (California minors see other applicable sections herein). Furthermore, we expressly reserve the right to retain data (i) as required by applicable law; and (ii) for so long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which the data is retained except to the extent prohibited by applicable law.

California's “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code Section § 1798.83) permits users of the Service that are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We have implemented reasonable measures designed to secure your personal information (not including any publicly posted User Contributions) from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure.
The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of the Service, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. You agree not to share your password with anyone. We urge you to be careful about giving out information in public areas of the Service, such as message boards or similar areas. The information you share in public areas may be viewed by any user of the Service.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure.
